Dr. Maria Ruiz

Dr. Maria graduated with honours from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry in 2006. Prior to this, she completed courses in the Faculty of Pharmacy and has a degree in Food Science, Faculty of Agriculture. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is an advocate and believer in the connection between good oral health and good overall health. She has worked in many capacities in the dental field. As a clinical instructor in the Faculty of Dentistry, as a mobile dentist in the Centre for Community Oral Health and as a fly-in dentist in remote First Nations reserves in Northern Manitoba. Dr. Maria has also been a Dental Consultant at Cancer Care in the Head and Neck Department.

Dr. Maria has a keen interest in providing quality care to her patients and takes many continuing education courses to ensure excellence in the delivery of her care. She can be heard on a daily basis speaking French, Spanish and English, and feels satisfied when patients are presented with clear treatment options so that they can ultimately feel their best with a healthy mouth and healthy smile.

In her spare time, Dr. Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends doing various outdoor activities. She loves to watch inspiring movies and listening to amazing music!
